Tried to get the Pioneer D3 combo Nav / DVD / iPod interface player in my 07 GT. WILL NOT WORK!!! Dammit... The guy told me that since the the temperature controls are through the stock stereo head unit it is not possible.. So disapointed! If anyone knows how to bypass the head unit for the stereo but still be able to control the A/C please let me know.

I've got an AVIC N3. You need to get the Scosche male and female connectors for the Audio/Climate control unit and install the D3 in your Cubby pod or somewhere else. I would suggest trying to get something that will fit into a Single Din with a foldable screen. You'll also need to do some splicing with the scosche parts. Also, the heated seats work through that wiring harness.

The other option you have is to try to get the manual climate controls from a 2.5 non limitied (I think this is the car that has it). I'm not so sure about this option, but I know the other one works.

no one has pics of it installed on a LGT?

Probably not. The install of full screen units has been particularly difficult with our cars, unless they are single din units that have the screen fold out. Because the screen usually doesn't fit in our cubby and to put it where the radio is means you need to build a custom fascia for the radio and climate controls and you need to rewire the climate controls. It gets pretty complicated. I think a couple of people have installed similar screens, but you'll have to search for the pics. They are on here somewhere though. Good luck!

Thank you...we had to do the fiberglass work on the bezel because there is a support bar not too far behind the cubby. But otherwise it wasn't too hard to get the wiring right. Granted there are a ton of them running out from the cluster, but I still have full climate control capabilities...and the trip computer was relocated too. :)

The wiring for this is really not difficult at all. And this is coming from someone who has never installed car stereos before. Just pick up a forward and reverse harness from this guy: http://www.geocities.com/svxdc/WRX-pinout.htm

You'll also need a Metra Radio Antenna adapter: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7306328&type=product&id=1118842512418&ref=06&loc=01

(can be purchased elsewhere and not necessarily from Best Buy)

With the harness, just splice up the colors accordingly with your current D3 harness.

The difficult part is getting the unit to fit in the cubby area correctly. I completely FUBAR'ed mine and am in the process of redoing it.

Also, don't waste your money on the JDM Double DIN Cubby pieces. You can purchase an USDM piece and cut it to match.
