found this sucker while checking on prices for an auto dimming compass upgrade for my 05 3.0R outback sedan

it states it can fit 2000-2009 models of legacy/outback and it comes with map lights etc yet i cant find any more info on this part elsewhere ala installtion differences etc etc i got a rebate coupon from subaru to use up of 300 bucks i used some of it to get an armrest upgrade and want the compass mirror too

not sure if its a genuine subaru part though if its not i cant use the rebate on it if it is though something they can order them i might consider getting this if it will truly fit my outback.

Ive never seen that one before. I have the factory one in my 05 outback XT and it does not look like that.

I really like the compass auto dimming mirror I have in my car though.

I wouldn't think you would want the one with map lights.

^While true, that is not the one that came on the 2005 Outback/Legacy

We knew from his link that it is a Subaru part number and while it may fit his car Im not sure he needs redundant map lights.

Fredbeans is a good place to go though. I purchased much of my build from them and used A LOT of subaru bucks!!!!

you linked two different product

first link is a GNTX-313

last two links are the GNTX-453

you can read about the difference here: http://www.wembleysells.com/mirrortech/GentexHomelinkMirrorComparison.htm

Pretty much the 453 is newer, and better constructed.
