Thunder240
Hey guys, anyone have experience with Wash DC area Subie mechanics? I'm in Arlington, though I'd drive across town to go to someone who is trustworthy, does solid work, has reasonable prices, and knows his way around a Subaru. I can search Yelp as well as the next guy, and I've already found a few shops near me that have good reviews, but (1) most of the reviews are not Subaru-specific, and (2) many people give 5 stars simply of the mechanic is courteous and if the work is trouble-free. I trust fellow LGT members' opinions a whole lot more.
BAC5.2
Andrewtech is the only place to go. 240-683-1000 Flip Key Development Thread "Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped." - E. Moderators BarManBean Posted July 14, 2013 Moderators Share Posted July 14, 2013 Ummm, that's really just not true. There are definitely other shops to go to, IAG being another at the top of the list. OP, what do you need to have done? Thunder240
Thanks guys. I need someone to install Billstein/RCE springs and shocks, and then of course to align afterwards. The install may be trickier than otherwise since I have aftermarket rear sway and endlinks already on the car.
Moderators BarManBean Posted July 14, 2013 Moderators Share Posted July 14, 2013 I'm sure that Moore performance in Fairfax could take care of that. Since they're closer it's certainly worth checking out their price. xero287
I can do it, minus the alignment. If you don't pick me, I'd go to Andrewtech all day.
Thunder240
All, this is very helpful info, both for the upcoming spring/shock install and for future reference. Thank you very much for the suggestions. I'll get to know all of these shops. Xero, PM sent.
NVAKeith
+ 1 for Andrewtech. Outside of brakes, tires, & oil changes they did all the non-warranty work on my WRX for the 11 years I had it.
Mach V Dan
We'd be happy to do it. We're in Sterling. It's an easy drive from Arlington.
