Has anyone had issues with Borla flanges rusting? (pics inside)

So my Borla CBE started leaking the other day, got underneath and found the leak at the flange that connects to the downpipe.

Has anyone seen this before?

I dont have a receipt for the exhaust, so I'm not sure that Borla will help me with the issue under warranty...

The flange, removed from the exhaust... it shouldn't come off like that. Significant Rust.

Flange next to the connection.

Connection, sans flange

Any Thoughts?

If it's a real Borla you should be able to give them a ring and have it replaced.

I have a feeling it's probably one of the 208394834349923849038 of knockoffs that are out there though.

Borla has a lifetime warranty on most of their products so I would contact them and see if you cant get it fixed for free.

I'm going to call Borla tomorrow... I have a feeling I may be SOL as far as warranty replacement, as I bought the exhaust used off of a forum member (the late Coxx) and don't have a receipt or warranty card.

I may just take it to a muffler shop and see if they can help me out with a flange...

They usually are pretty good at honoring heir warranties. As long as they can verify it is actually their product. Worth a shot.
