Right Front tire is wearing abnormally.

So I am stuck.

Car is a 2009 Legacy 2.5i SE 4EAT

Mileage: 28,500

About 5k miles ago(23k) I noticed my front right tire almost bald, about 3/32 tread while the rest were solidly 5/32. Took it to dealer, they did an alignment and found the rear was out of spec. I went with. Rotated and balanced as well. A few thousand miles later I noticed my front still wearing abnormally, and thus I had two bald tires on my right side of my car. Decided, I needed new tires.

27,200 miles, got Conti DWS's installed, Car got aligned, all good right?

I'm at 28,500 miles right now, checked it today to make sure everything was good. My right front tire is still wearing abnormally. All three other tires still look new, edges are sharp, etc. The right front one has scrub marks going across the tread. The treads are not as sharp on the corners unlike the other three.

Here's my dilemma, is my suspension tweaked? I am under warranty, so the dealer will look at it for me, but how are they going to pinpoint what exactly is wrong? Last time I took it in, they checked my alignment and that was it.

What should I do?

My tires were rated at the tire place as 5, 6 on left and 8's on the right...how does that happen? And I rotate them regularly, I think I have blown suspension on the left side because alignment seems fine. Interested to hear possible answers.

Take it back and have them re-align it. Ask for printouts from the machine with all the geometry numbers of BEFORE and after they change things. You will know if they adjusted anything this way, and you can tell yourself if the alignment is good. If they say they can't/won't give you printouts, go somewhere else that will and tell them they lost your business.

I have printouts of adjustments from 3 different alignment shops, Dunn Tire, Dealer, Sears. Sears did it twice for me, and said it was dead straight. I have all printouts of before and after specs. Car drives straight. Steering wheel is a bit crooked after my tire change/alignment. Going back to dealer soon to get this all looked at again.

Frustrated.

Check to see if you are LCAs are in good shape. While you can easily get a decent alignment, the second you are moving you basically have adjustable caster and toe. Also check and see if your front A-arm is bent. Again you can get a straight alignment but when you add load to the arm is doesnt move properly.

A lot of this is that I do not know what to look for. I am probably going to bring my car into the dealer early for my oil change and have them troubleshoot for me. Car is 100% stock mechanically so I haven't fiddled with anything in the suspension. When I inspect, am I looking only at the affected corner, or would something broken/bent in another corner affect this tire.

I'm only 1200 miles in on these new tires, so I'm trying to pinpoint it now before my tires need to be replaced again.

No other corner should affect that one. If you turn your wheel all the way, you should be able to see the lower control arm bushing in there. It is a donut bushing with 2 slits in it. From those slits you will see the rubber cracking if it has gone bad. The arm is a hard one to see with out having a lift to look at it.
