Clunk after Clutch Replacement

Recommended Posts

Replaced my clutch last week and now i am getting a semi-suspension related clunk. It seems to be on the passenger side of the car, when going over rough roads with the passenger wheels the clunking its heard, and when accelerating while turning or coming to a stop when going in reverse. However it never happens 100% of the time, its just kinda random which is why i cannot pinpoint what it is. I dropped the trans completely out of the bottom when it was on the lift, and i can't think of what i could have missed installing that would cause this clunking.

Its a dull clunk. Any ideas?

Hey Thanks, Mike!

Based off of this http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/clunking-after-sway-bar-install-pictures-and-video-112953.html?t=112953 thread, and after taking a look at my sway bar end links, I'm thinking they might be the culprit. The parts just came in ([ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002M2MHHI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1]Amazon.com: Moog K750049 Sway Bar Link Kit: Automotive[/ame]) and I'm going to replace the old ones tonight. I'm hoping that takes care of my issue.

PS: the clutch went out in a parking lot @ ~ 5mph and was towed to a dealer.

Is there anything I should poke around for while I'm under the car?

Check the rear diff front cradle. One of the bushings in my wagon is leaking. I have new Poly one's coming today from underdog.

Check your front sway bar bushings too.
