suisui67
Hey guys, long story short, crashed my car earlier this week. Need to replace the hood and grille and possibly the bumper. Wondering if you guys know will a outback 2.5gt hood fit a Lgt with no fitment issue. Thanks!
BAC5.2
I don't think it will, but I never really looked. You could call the dealer and see if the hood has the same PN, or you could look it up yourself. 5.0 Willie
Always hoped the outback hood with the little raised points (na) that hood would look great running a fmic.
TRSCobra
I looked into swapping my GT hood for a OB 2.5i hood for those raised points since I went FMIC, but I'd miss the scoop too much.
Skidude
I know the hoods are not the same, with the OB having raised ridges. I also know the grill is not the same for the LGT and the OB, but I don't know if that is due to the hood, or the bumper, or some combination. I can take some quick measurements on my OBXT this afternoon if you tell me what you want to know.
Max Capacity
I'm thinking the grill is different so it won't fit perfectly. In theory it should bolt up. May be look in the photo threads and see if they look alike. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Skidude
Mine doesn't specifically, because of the hoodscoop, but the 2.5i has ridges that can be seen here: http://images1.americanlisted.com/nlarge/2005_subaru_legacy_wagon_outback_3_0_r_vdc_ltd_25232261.jpg The legacy does not have these ridges: http://carimages1.everycarlisted.com/images/subaru-legacy-new-castle-pa_YPA-10086_111108E_1.jpg Those pictures may not last long, so I'm sorry to anybody searching for this topic in the future. They'll work for now though.

TRSCobra
I've seen LGT guys use OB grilles, so I imagine the hoods will swap also.
frank_ster
looks like outback xt and legacy gt hoods are the same. the naturally aspirated outbacks have those raised slits. but i'm sure its the same hood Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader

liljonson
The grille is a little different. It doesn't line up perfectly with the bumper. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Gex
Hood is the same. Grill and bumper are different on the obxt and lgt.
chimaira4deth
Now would the front bumper, and front fenders fit the leggy sedan? It's almost as if this could be a widebody swap I'm lookin for. The rear flares would have to be molded in but I want to be low + wide
