TheBlubaru
I was curious to see what kind of power the scoobie was putting down so today I took a trip to PRS in Sanford. I was pleased with the results. Next step is a VF52, Avo TMIC and OS Tune. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff439/Caleb_Ingerson/05LGTDyno-1.jpg Current Power Mods-Cobb DP,Cobb CBE, Cobb AP w/ Stg 2 93 octane map and K&N Filter. Max Capacity
That's a starting point. I have a IPR tmic, vf52, smaller boost pill, see my sig. That was on a Mustang dyno. My son is driving the car this week. He was impressed with how 280whp feels in the car. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here

OutbackXT05
Hmmm my dyno looked quite abit different on my vf40. I peak hp and torque at 4500ish and drops. Doesnt help it was like 100 degrees inside where it was getting dyno'd. Mine peaked 226whp and fell to like 160whp at redline. 271 wtq.

TheBlubaru
^What mods did you have? How much did it cost to bring your GT to that power level? Just curious... I bought my car with all the Cobb stuff on it so not really sure. I think somewhere between 1500 and 2000. OutbackXT05
Im protuned. Honestly I think it was a low readying dyno because I keep up really good with stage 2 sti's. But i still think the curve is off. It drops off really bad.

TheBlubaru
^Its actually a 5mt How do you like PRS ? Matt usually treats me good there. I did my stage 2 set up run with them too. I need to go back for stage 3 run. That place is literally 10 minutes away from me I have had a very good experience with them so far. They know their stuff and are good guys to talk with plus there is always some eye candy parked out front. I talked with them about going stage 3 and getting a real tune. When pick up a turbo Ill be headed back out there. God created turbo lag to give V8s a chance

BAC5.2
Automatics will put down less power than manual transmissions. I know Mustang dynos "read low", but that seems pretty low even for a Mustang. BAC5.2
5hp? No way. I remember seeing back-to-back dyno plots where the 5EAT cars make substantially less torque than the 5MT cars. frank_ster
bah must be other variables in there too.. when the tcc is engaged power is going strait through with only an oil pump sucking power. ylime
I think its a lot more than 5hp difference manual vs auto..my auto wrx put down 25 less hp than a manual would normally do on a stage 2 tune..granted this is a wrx not a legacy.
frank_ster
well lgt's vary more than 25 hp from one stage 2 to another .. so my 270 hp on mine was what realy 500 chp because i have a 5 eat ? i figure 270 whp is about 330-345 crank hp and that is on par for the injector size limitation. but you guys also have to think why are automatics the same fuel economy as mt on the highway ? so they can't be sucking that much power. in 4th gear at and mt there is no gear reduction. the bunch of innards are tuning as a union and the gears sets along with it. so all that is left is the pump.
