Kaiser0929
Sigh. I've been expecting this for the three years I've owned the LGT, since the handle has always felt super flimsy to me. I reached over to open it and SNAP! off it came (it was butt cold this morning, which is the only reason I can think of for why it broke). And it didn't just pop off -- it's definitely broken. I found the small shard of plastic that I assume used to attach the handle to the glovebox door. Considering the car's out of warranty, is this something I can bring to my local mechanic to fix, or that I can do myself? I've never had this happen on any of my cars, so I've got no idea how simple or complex a job it'd be (i.e., I really don't want to go to the dealer). Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. - Kai p.s. I can't wait to get pulled over while the glovebox door's locked in place. "Need to see your registration, sir." "Sure thing, officer. Got a screwdriver handy?" BrownBoy
It should be fairly simple, once you get the broken door open and old lock removed. Very straight forward I believe.
