ViscousSquirrel
Just went for a drive. Smelled coolant.... looking around under the hood I see coolant dripping out of what should be a seal around the turbo and stock intercooler... I then removed the intercooler and it's got a nice coat of oil and coolant all over the inside of it. It also has a nice puddle of coolant in the hose going to the throttle body. Any one have any thoughts? The turbo is a brand new BNR16g
Aethersnap
Could be the seals on your turbo. Who installed it? A little oil in the IC is normal... within reason obviously.
ViscousSquirrel
The oil was already inside the intercooler from the last turbo, it's the coolant that is concerning me. I installed the BNR turbo myself and it's new. It also hasn't seen over 3000 rpm yet either...
ouch1011
There is no coolant running through the intake manifold, so there is only one way coolant got into the intake. Defective turbo.
Spun Muffler Bearings
Sure sounds like the cold side seals are NFG on that turbo. Good luck... Subscribing...
bmx045
truth. sounds like a turbo seal problem, possibly defective
