PhiTauFord
So I was travling south on 295 (in south jersey) today in some heavy traffic. I was in the left lane and as I look in my left side mirror I see a cop speeding down the shoulder. Normally this would not concern me, however . . . This cop was driving a light blue Ford Explorer, completely unmarked, no municipal tags, and a limo tint that only a gangsta would sport. You could barely make out his blue and reds when they were on. The only thing that set the car off were the strobes in the head and tail lights. Watch out these troopers are sneaky. GizmoII
We have a ford mustang GT that is unmarked around here. Crappy thing is he looks for ricers or street racers. He challenges them to a race then pulls them over. Very sneaky.
PhiTauFord
yeah that's VERY sneaky. The bad part is that a kick ass radar detector does nothing if he's pacing you and you don't know it. Just stating the obvious. SNEAKY!

PhiTauFord
Isn't provoking you to a street race and then pulling you over entrapment of some kind? You'd think, but I don't know about the legality of it all. I'll have to ask my brother who's a lawyer this evening and I'll post my findings. GizmoII
Give a caucasians a couple more years and we'll be the ones complaining about discrimination. I heard in california that english is no longer the language of choice. 52% of the state is spanish speaking. Not that I'm complaining or racist, thats just the facts. AreEyeSeeKay
I think that fact is wrong...according to the Census numbers, roughly 2/3 of the people in california are not of hispanic origin. http://www.census.gov/popest/states/asrh/SC-EST2004-03.html
PhiTauFord
Can we please get back to the main topic which would be "sleeper" police cars and not the demographics of CA. I made the same post on another forum I participate in and they made metion of a mustang that gets ricers and sports car owners to race them and then pulls them over. SNEAKY!! AreEyeSeeKay
Back on topic... I would guess that the explorer you saw is not inteded to be used to trap speeders but is probably used in state government security or something.
