campoli Posted April 25, 2015 Share Posted April 25, 2015 So my car started to shutter when I come to a stop and my cel says maf so I replaced it w a new oem one car still shutters at stop I updated my map and still nothing anyone have any ideas? You don't need that other CAI. The stock one is good till about 400whp. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. CloudSeed777 Posted April 28, 2015 Share Posted April 28, 2015 Maybe Tris can chime in here for more detail on this as he recently posted that the after market intakes can cause pre-detonation (read ring-land failure) because the MAF cannot properly read the volume of air being taken in by the intake. campoli Posted May 1, 2015 Author Share Posted May 1, 2015 P0147 I think it said maf failure  It's gone now but my AP says it could be the 02, manifold gasket , or tmic gasket  I check all visible hoses for leak found none so I ordered everything the AP Said It Could Be  I have no stock parts to put back on all mods came on car when purchased last year I've replaced many parts since purchase all I want is for it to be done and reliable when it's running great it's an animal I'm just pampering it now till I get this issue solved even bought a beater to drive for now Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

travrach Posted May 4, 2015 Share Posted May 4, 2015 More then likely the sensor heater is bad, and you need a new one.
