Industry
So my rebuild is starting to add up very quickly, and I'm looking to save some money without cutting huge corners. I'm upgrading turbo to a vf52 and wondering if a safe and an exedy 06 wrx oem replacement clutch will hold up. I don't Ever launch my car. Not looking for a race clutch, and pedal feel needs to be close to stock. My wife drives this car and she would hate a heavy clutch. What say the clutch experts? Max Capacity
I love my Spec 2 clutch, got it from Mike at www.AZPinstalls.com the pedal isa little heavier then the stock clutch in my 09 Spec B. I'm not a fan of putting stock clutches in these cars. Get a 07-09 smfw and clutch of choice. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here
FJuan
If you want to save $$, just stick with the OEM clutch or convert to the WRX clutch & flywheel. The OEM clutch will hold up to Stage 2 performance. You can pick up a used SMFW off Ebay for half the cost of new and have it turned and balance at your local machine shop. My wife's balls are delicious.
Industry
I think I'm going to go with the exedy stage 1 and an 06 wrx oem flywheel.
Wagonation
Isn't the exedy stage 1 almost the same as the stock kit?
