drcaveman
On Long Island I need a good place to go to get my wheels balanced. Also a specific technician in the garage to make sure I get a good job done. I have been to STS twice and the car gets worse with each attempt. OGG
Where on Long Island? If you're anywhere near Huntington, All Weather Tire in Huntington Station is, IMO, the only place to go on Long Island for anything relating to tires. They're almost always busy but I've never spent more than 45 minutes there. The same family has owned the shop forever and all the brothers are the salesmen. They really know their stuff and they only allow certain techs to do aftermarket/alloy wheels. If for some odd reason they don't get it right the first time, they will make it right, no problem. Their prices are also quite reasonable and they never try to sell you extra crap.

drcaveman
they diagnosed the problem 2 bent rims. They told me to try driving for a few days and see if the balance helped otherwise they could repair them for $110 a piece. Anyone have thoughts on rim repair? OGG
If it's done correctly it should be no problem. I've seen some nasty damage repaired and you really couldn't tell.
EquinnoxX
I go to a small shop in levittown called 'house of tires'. They're pretty good and have decent prices too!
