Lawrence Lexus Legacy GT. Anybodies?

I saw this LGT and I am in the process of negotiating with the dealer price wise, etc. Only thing that is bothering me is the fact I know it's been modded. It has a boost gauge pod, STS, subwoofer hookup in the trunk, bolts off airbox broken (intake), and heatshield is off of the turbo. Would you recommend buying a car in this condition, and more importantly does anyone know the PO? I'd love to talk to him about the car

OK so without being able to contact the PO, you should err towards caution and assume the heatshield is missing because the turbo has been replaced. PO may have just had an aftermarket shield on and misplaced the original when he was going back to stock, but do you want to assume that?

If the turbo was replaced, why? How much damage was done before it was replaced? Check the markings to see if it's at least the original vf40.

Why was the intake replaced, was it put back to stock from aftermarket? If so, did the PO get a proper retune for when he was running the aftermarket intake?

That would be too many unanswered questions for me, I'd say leave it alone for the price. If you could knock them down on price and have the car thoroughly checked out by a shop of your choice then I would say go for it.
