NWSPECB
Stock unless your stage 3+ power levels
nospmoht04
If you're dead set on getting on intake, I'd say Cobb. It is unnecessary like NW said, unless you're into turbo upgrades. The stock box is a good design. Save your money for a downpipe and a stage 2 tune of some sort if you want to see a noticeable power increase. Gonna run you about $750 but it's your smartest starting point.

mpgraham
Keep the stock system. If your interested in tuning with Accessport you're required to keep stock! Although you gotta love the aftermarket sound...
HAMMER DOWN
Ditto, Agree, but I really like my K&N typhoon cold air intake, which I'm tuned for. But only switch from OEM to make my FMIC piping fit correctly. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/0929112255a.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/0929112255.jpg Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold

DeltaNu1142
Mine came with an SPT intake. Not really sure what to think of it. You could probably think of about $175 to those that can't find the search button. Tits mcgee
compsurge
OP: You can get a good quality high flow panel filter for $30-40. I have an aFe dry filter, there are also oiled versions as well (K&N, aFe, AVO). http://www.infamousperformance.net/servlet/the-Legacy-GT-05-dsh-09-cln-Induction/Categories
G5892
Stock intake is good, but Im sure you can get more power with an aftermarket intake. Im not saying 50+, but maybe 10-15. I run a KS-Tech intake. Its simple and it does its job/
SLegacy99
You could probably think of about $175 to those that can't find the search button. I was actually surprised to find the intake, but no strut bar. Oh well. For what I paid, I can't complain.
compsurge
Strut bar does nothing on these cars except look good. I had one. I got tired of wiggling my intercooler under it. I threw it out.

I run a KS-Tech intake. Its simple and it does its job/ no. you get ~1whp. It was tested on a stage 2 setup stock intake verse a k&n on the dyno during an open source tuning session. robitrice
but it sounds so cool! i got an AEM one waiting to be put on with a bunch of other stuff. If you really want an intake get one but wait to put it on until you are ready for a tune that way you can do everything at once instead of getting multiple tunes if you are putting other "power mods" on.
