95legacy2.2 Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 i put trans fluid in the front diff cause of dumb asses at oriellys said to. now my car sounds like a back to the future car or something and im pretty sure that metal is grinding in there. i have a 95 legacy sedan, all wheel 2.2L. what fluid is suppose 2 go in there and how do i get that trans fluid out? Bdubs Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 I'm going to assume you have an Auto? Because if you drained a manual, you drained the diff and trans oil, in that case you will have bigger problems. Anyway, for an automatic you are suppose to use GL5 75w-90 gear oil, stuff that smells like crap, can never remove the scent off your hands. It takes about quart and 1/4 I believe. There's a large bolt (20mm) under the diff. so you can drain the other garbage out. It shouldn't be hard to find, it's the only bolt under the car that is that large in size.
