NORULZleggy
Well I redid the DRL's on the leggy with LED H7 DRL's tell me what you all think? 5K HIDs will be here soon. I did the LED DRL's cause it sets the car off from others, and I wanted to be different. The pics are of the car with the lights off, and then with the LED DRL's on. These shots were taken before I go to work at 6:40 am. Bulbs are about 18$ a pop. MOMSWGN
Are you going to disable the DRL when you put in the HIDs?
nemo
08s don't need the DRL mod. If you don't vote Trump, out, you're a bigot who hates america.

nemo
educate my ignorance? 08's use the high beams for DRL, so there's no need to disable them when you have HIDs i mean you can do it, but it's not needed for hids If you don't vote Trump, out, you're a bigot who hates america. 05LegacyGTLimited
I had to disable mine... Both the low and highbeam where coming on... dealer replaced the headlight switch and the DRL module and it still did it...
Vbelisle
yeah my low beams come on even when the lights are turned off and i have an
05LegacyGTLimited
Well, only my highbeams where coming on, then one day I noticed that the HID's where on, then they started flicking on and off... So I took it to the dealer and they replaced the module and switch and it still did it... I just unplugged the module and it stopped... Oh well now I just dont have a high beam signal in the gauges. NORULZleggy
Well, I know I have had no problem with the DRL's at all, and the LED one's make a great look when you just riding around town and hanging with some friends. I recommend not driving with them on the highway. superbrightleds.com has them. Take your time and look through the list. I also did the rear Plate light. These bulbs do not require a harness, they fit right in the socket. I love to test out products for cars and I know some people where looking for a pictures. First pic is what the H7 LED DRL's look like. Next pic is of the Back plate, both are what they call a COOL WHITE. http://www.superbrightleds.com/store/html/images/hb3-whp9.jpg http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/6153/backplater.jpg

Prowler504
I thought the DRL/high beam bulbs were 9005. Can you swap the H7 in without any modifications?
NORULZleggy
Naw, I check and checked for about two days to get the right bulb and make sure all was correct. I always double check things and products and review them before I install into cars. It is 9005 for the DRL/HI. I might have confused the H7 and 9005, sorry. Here is what I got from the site: (HB3 (9005) Type Daytime Running Lamp, replacement bulb with High Power 9 Watt White LED)
RAyala
Which type of LED is for the rear plate light on the site?
BAC5.2
DRL's turn off when the low-beams are on, right? If that's the case, then this isn't a terrible mod. It'll probably still annoy people even during the day, but they can't say they never saw you! Prowler504
I also want to know if the high beams still work with these installed
vitaliy_08
I am also curious about whether it is possible for the high beams to work with LED DRLs installed...
kjiz
My guess is that they work....but output has been compromised. Wouldn't mind doing this in my fogs just for the look. It's not like I really need my fogs for light output
BAC5.2
If these replace the high-beams, then that's terribly unsafe. BAC5.2
Do you only drive the car in a well lit city? In any other situation, that's horribly dangerous. Doesn't seem like you thought that decision out at all actually.
