single turbo BG v Version 7 STI

hey, here is my single turbo 94 BG, it has a 98 STI engine and matching running gear (diff n box etc) stock ECU, stock boost 14.5 PSI, VF30 turbo, 3" Down pipe and exhaust, Walbro, K&N flat panel.

 

Version 7 STI had meth injection Vf30 18 PSI boost

boy i cant wait to crank to 20 pounds if the sti stockers can even handle that.

 

FYI - the 1998 STI engine in my single turbo legacy will handle 17-18 PSI stock. Version 7 WRX STI (blue one in the drag video) has factory tuneable ECUs so you can up the boost AND fueling, dont know the limit.. i sure as hang wouldnt attempt anything like that without a dyno.

(of course i am referring to JDM spec engines here),

The EJ20R.

 

It depends on your power goals. Under 400 its fine.

 

Headgaskets failed on mine because they were crappy stock gaskets. They had the same problem that the EJ25D head gaskets have

uh....who knows. I don't think your home made closed deck is very reliable to be honest with you. I wouldn't push it more then 4 or 5 psi
