Matte Black the Wagon?

Hey Guys,

The paint on my wagon is close to dead. It looks so terrible and there is nothing I can do... clear coat is just gross!!!

What about matte black? Either have my buddy shoot it or wrap it. Wrap would be great because the car is coming to Colorado next year unless I sell it.

how much does it cost to wrap a full car?

I have heard a good job is a few thousand dollars and is supposed to last 5-10 years.

there is a place near my house in LA called "Sticker City". They gave me an estimate for $3k which I am not willing to pay. It was $2600 in labor and about $400 in materials. (give or take).

 

I am thinking about buying the wrap myself and either attempting to do the wrap with a friend or finding someone with experience to help.

 

My reasoning for a repaint is that the clearcoat is beat and up has major checking and imperfections in it. With the car sitting outside most of its life and next year in the snow (bring the car to school next year) the clear coat is going to die! I need to do something. I would love to repaint and 6sp swap.

I like the idea of matte black. I think it would look good. Hmmmmmmm, decisions decisions....

im thinking next tax return time, im going to wrap mine matte black! im pretty pumped!

 

and get rota gforces 18x9s sometime a long the way before hand.

That wrap is hottt. How does it hold up in the winter?
