Legacy82 Posted September 4, 2010 Share Posted September 4, 2010 I have an 05 Legacy GT. I bought a k&n ram intake for it. Iv'e heard from both sides. Some say I need a tune after then some say i dont and i will be fine. Also I will prob do up and down pipe later this winter. If I do need a tune right away, would it hurt to wait till after i put on the up & down pipe in the winter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
08Legacy08 Posted September 4, 2010 Share Posted September 4, 2010 I was a proponent of not needing a tune... and I ran about 20k without one just fine. I later ended up with engine failure but I had bad rings... Nothing to do with K&N. My new philosophy is... when in doubt, tune. It's a cheap "150.00" insurance plan.
