Aruss87
And snapped a spring bolt whilst taking the bolt off!! I also have yet to modify the heat shield so it fits around the dp.
Aruss87
Or am I trying to put the heat shield in wrong??? I was kinda hurrying at that phase of the install and maybe I messed up
Adoniram
I would scrap the stock heat shield and just buy some cheap exhaust wrap. It works better, provides more coverage, and you won't have to worry about getting your stock shields to fit around something they weren't designed for. I wrapped my EL headers, UP, and DP with 1 roll
Aruss87
Ah...... Hmm. I'll have to look at wrap then
Cloud_a4
I snapped the same bolt trying to install mine too. Nothing a quick trip to the hardware store couldn't cure. I just used tin scissors (I think that's what they're called) to cut the stock heat sheild to fit. The wrap sounds like less of a pain though plus that way your stock heat sheild will be in tact if you ever want to convert back to stock.
robitrice
wrap it or buy a heatshield like the grimmspeed one if you are set on having a heatshield. I got both on my car, wrap and the heatshield cause i think it cleans everything up nice.
