Aruss87
I have a subwoofer that i got from work that is without a box - for free. I'm trying to figure out how to tie it into the stock radio harness. I don't hardly know anything about car audio.... tried to do some searching for a diagram of the radio harness to determine where exactly to tie into without any luck. Any suggestions? Aruss87
The subwoofer has two male terminals. Pos, neg. I guess what I need to know is, "Is there a place in the wire harness to tie two wires from the woofer terminals into that will operate the subwoofer?" cipher_nemo
I'm not sure about how your car's stock system is setup, but you'll want to add it to the amplifier outs. That amp could be built-in to your head unit, somewhere else in the dash, or with the sub box itself. I'm not sure. But either way, swapping out the stock sub for an aftermarket sub is a big no-no. Those two subs have different ratings, different ranges, etc. If the one you got for free is an impressive subwoofer, it probably won't sound good in your stock system. You'll want mount it in its own box and run it from an amplifier you purchase separately.

Heedz
You need and amp and a high low converter.
