Sublimejoe
I finally got around to installing my JDM Legacy gauge cluster into my 06' Outback XT today. I personally had a hard time finding a photo of the JDM cluster all lit up, so here is a comparison for anyone interested: USDM: http://i.imgur.com/wnz9lhdh.jpg JDM: http://i.imgur.com/nCaya1Dh.jpg Has anyone else on here done this modification? I have yet to find anyone.
scoobycoupe
It will look sweet when you are maxing out the speedo at 115 mph
Tangointhenight
I'm not sure about losing the manumatic gear display function either, but to each his own
Sublimejoe
You can't tell what gear your car is in without the display?
Tangointhenight
It's not like a manual where I know I'm in fourth if I put it in fourth and so on. Knowing how the system automatically downshifts or upshifts when one comes to a stop or so, I use the display quite often in the manumatic mode. But if the gauge cluster suits your needs and you can live without the display, congratulations.

lingling1337
Oh, that's awesome! What is that below the speedometer? Looks like a fuel economy gauge. Pretty neat.
chimera
Yes, fuel economy gauge. Small light goes green if in "I" mode and driving is "economical". Also LCD display in rev counter gauge shows km's/litre, avg km's/litre, trip meter, S/I/S# mode, km's left to travel (based on mileage so far) and some other stuff I think, can toggle between modes on steering wheel. Thought the USDM had that in the SI drive model?
I Donated thefultonhow Posted May 21, 2013 I Donated Share Posted May 21, 2013 Heres my cluster - 2007 JDM LGT - for reference... http://www.chimera.co.nz/subaru/gauge-cluster.jpg That is basically identical to the USDM 07-09 LGT cluster. Only difference is metric vs. US units.
chimera
Uh huh! Sweet, coz I thought they would be stupid to considerably alter something like that between different markets. Seems odd some of the things that ARE different though. Like fog light housings - relatively trivial I would have thought?

technicalgarage
That cluster isn't the regular jdm cluster which has the same lighting scheme as the USDM cluster. It's from a WR limited.
LegacyDan
yep, normal jdm one has white lighting for the numbering
