marsho
wow i didint realize so many ppl had the same problem stuck with a 2.5i with no engine mods. i will do my best to post pictures of the setup tmmw in the meantime here is how i acquired it. if you look at a 01 impreza non-turbo at a dealership you'll see its the closest engine to a 2.5i in setup. so i searched ebay for an intake for a "01 impreza intake" to see the pipe keeping in mind the shape it had to be in order to still hit the MAF sensor. the only one that fits is this below model. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/safety_furst/LJMYSPACE/Impreza_97_01_intake.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/safety_furst/LJMYSPACE/intake1.jpg if you do search for the intake this way make sure this is the exact pipe^ you'll see why in my pictures. !@%$@%!!@%^%@!%marsho! hawker800mech
I did get one for the 97-01 2.2/2.5L impreza that looks like it. It's seems most are the same shape on there for that year. Hopefully mine will work, too. Thanks for the pics.

marsho
the only thing that is bootleg abou the whole thing is the fact that at the angle the intake is at you have to unhook on of the bolt on the main intake box. you can see below where i had to unhook it.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/safety_furst/legacy/Picture005.jpg
marsho
here's a top view of the whole setup. you can see that it fits almost perfectly http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v630/safety_furst/legacy/Picture007.jpg

What is the part number on your K&N filter? Oh I just looked again and I saw they have one for the 2005 legacy. Will that fit on a 2006?
