GuamSTI
I tried to find the differences between the 2. What I found says the limited comes with leather interior and automatic transmission. The 2.5 GT comes with leather interior but with a manual transmission. My car comes with an automatic but has the cloth interior. Is there a digit on the vin number that would differentiate a 2.5 GT from a 2.5 GT Limited. Thanks,
subikid90
The GT limited was the leather option with no manual tranny. The GT has no leather but both the manual and auto trannies. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap

98LGTLover
Regular GT 97-99 -Automatic or Manual -Cloth Interior Limited 98 -Only Automatic -Leather Limited 99 - Automatic or manual (however, there were very few manuals made) -Leather -Option for Gold Package (30th Anniversary Edition) They all came with sun roofs. That's what I've summed it up to.

98LGTLover
In 1997 yes, it was just really weird how Subaru went about doing things. Starting in 1998 the models were a lot more defined.
