OCDetails
What: CD2 Engine Detailer Where: Right now Amazon and Ebay are the only two places I can find it. How Much: mmmm.... about ten bucks a can unless you buy it for about $45 for a case of 6. Not cheap, but it will do what I'm showing here five or six times a can. How To Use: This engine was just dusty. I didn't use a drop of water to rinse it and I didn't use any other degreaser. I just sprayed the CD2 on and shut the hood. 20 minutes later I buffed the drips out and it looked like new. It's the fastest engine detail you can do. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/DSC01412.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/DSC01417.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/DSC01414.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/DSC01415.jpg 20 minutes later after buffing off the drips: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/DSC01438.jpg _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S . Penguin
I pressure wash mine to get the dirt off and clean the bugs out of the radiator and intercooler. I never saw the point in making the engine cover (that I got rid of) shine. Looks nice though.
OCDetails
There is no point. It's just something to clean. The nice thing about CD2 is that the covers will stay looking good for quite some time. To give you an idea, I've had my Pilot for a year now and I've only done this to the engine three times. It doesn't attract dust and there just hasn't been a reason to go over it more than that. _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S . Aryx
Glad you guys love it, I've been using CD2 for years. It used to come in a dual pack, one can cleaned, the other is for the shine. Now they've thankfully combined it into one bottle making this a REAL time saver. Always available at CanadianTire.

They just stopped selling them in the twin pack. For the longest time I could still get them seperately if I wanted to. The degreaser wasn't all that great though, so I just stuck with the detailer. The underside of the hood should be cleaned just like the rest of your paint. I just use a spray wax on mine at this point since I stay on top of it pretty well, but if it is pretty dirty then you will want to start out with a wash mitt and all that fun stuff. Just wash it like it were any other painted surface. _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S .
