Gabo2k Posted June 10, 2009 Share Posted June 10, 2009 I accidentally left my key in my jeans and then proceeded to wash them. After an entiry wash cycle in an automatic washing machine, I found the key at the bottom of the drum. I took the key apart to dry it out and found the electronics to be nicely sealed within a rubber capsule. I dried out all of the components, put them all back together and it works fine now. highspeed11 Posted June 11, 2009 Share Posted June 11, 2009 I jumped in the pool with my '99 key fob. It worked fine after I dried it out. I was surprised.
