schwinn
I didn't know there was an improved TOB for our cars - a bearing is a bearing? There is the Tranquil TSK kit, which improves the metal (it's a metal sleeve) on the snout of the transmission... is that what you were looking for? alohajeff
If I remember right there was an "adapter" that allowed the use of a Toyota throw out bearing. I replaced my OEM TOB with another OEM TOB because I didn't have time to figure out which bearing could be made to work. A Google search will lead you all over the place but in the end if you are in a hurry I'd run the OEM. Lots of people purchased Tranquil kits and then came to find out the parts didn't fit. That's probably been sorted out by now but 9 months ago they didn't know WTF fit our cars. http://www.smart-service.com/images/store/pdmsnout.jpg The Tranquil sleeve allows the use of a common BCA bearing. The part numbers are shown in the image above on the sticker that mentions the car has been retrofitted with a different TOB. Aloha
