Daedalus
I'm still looking for the optimal pad that costs the least and I found a pad I've never heard of before. What I'm looking for will operate from ambient to around 1000 degrees with good initial bite. I'm not too worried about dust, but I'd like them to be mostly quiet. The pad I've discovered is the Project Mu B-Force. From what I've gathered, they seem to mostly fit my criteria but I can't find any positive or negative reviews on them. I've found them for $88 for the fronts and $81 for the rears. I'm not sure where they fit in against other pads (I'm guessing between the Hawk HPS and Bobcat and Porterfield RS-s) but here are there specs. Applicable Rotor Temp: 0~500 deg. CelsiusFriction Coefficient: 0.32~0.42 http://www.mackinindustries.com/md/projectmu/Resources/databforcea.gif Any thoughts on them? They don't seem that aggressive nor will they hold up to the heat of a track day.
Daedalus
Forgot to add. If you're looking for more information or a set, the part numbers are (GT fitment): Front=PBF916Rear=PBR914

jim1969
on your graph, the B-Spec is a different pad from the B-force. http://www.project-mu.co.jp/e/product.html http://www.project-mu.co.jp/e/product/b-force.html
Daedalus
on your graph, the B-Spec is a different pad from the B-force. http://www.project-mu.co.jp/e/product.html http://www.project-mu.co.jp/e/product/b-force.html Your right! Good catch! It looks like the B-Force is a more streetable pad (according to their product chart). The B-Force has a slightly lower friction cooefficient which probably means that it makes less noise/dust (just taking a guess). But it has the same temperature range 0-500C (which seems pretty decent). I couldn't find any more Project Mu pads for the Legacy GT (Yes the spec.B has the same brake system). Maybe I should try looking for Tribeca front brakes since the LGT and Tribeca share the same setup.
Daedalus
Found this about more Project Mu pads. The HC+ (probably more like Hawk HP+) seem to be available for our cars! http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2274009
FX35B4
I used to have HC+ with LGT calipers F&R.Now I have P. Mu calipers with TYPE NR for street, HC+ for track. They said B-Force is for U.S only but I'm guessing it will be working very close to TYPE NS.If you are looking for street pads, I strongly recomend B-Force. Japanese Yen is so strong right now, price you find is so good.If you are looking for track pads, go for Hawk HP+. P.Mu's HC+ is too pricy. My opinion is asbestos free pads and carbon metal pads are not in same ball park. You have to give up some downside(dust, noise, life, rotor attack, price)to get someupside(initial bite, high friction, heat registance). Good luck!! http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii56/fx35bl5/SANY0052-2.jpg
