collier89139
I have a 1992 Subaru Legacy that seems to stall out at the light. I replaced the timing belt several months ago and it is a little bit off. The car has a slight miss and seemed to be nothing for months but now the car almost stalls at a light and stalled once in reverse. It also does not seem to get full power right away when I push on the gass. It seems to be a related problem but I don`t know. Can anyone help. Is it the injectors or what. thanks
slickfast
You have several things you can check right off the bat. You might have a clogged Idle Control Valve (ICV), or maybe a vacuum leak somewhere. Another easy check is if your Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is clogged, which could cause similar problems. Platinum_Racing
MAF's don't really clod too often. The idle air control solenoid (or as slickfast called it the idle control valve) could be the culprit. My guess, however, would have to be a vacuum leak. slickfast
MAF's don't really clod too often. Happens in bimmers every once in a while, sorry if it doesn't apply to subi's all too well. It's such an easy check though I don't see why you wouldn't just look and rule it out as a possible culprit.
Platinum_Racing
True. It's free and it can't hurt.
