CasopoliS
I do not want to give details, so please do not ask. Use your imagination. I originally thought of this concept for my car but realized there is probably a huge market for it. General thoughts please, I understand I am not giving you much information but I have to protect myself. The cruise control lever is completely worthless when the cruise control main power switch is off. That leaves 3 functions available when not using cruise control. Cancel, accel, decel. With a very smart micro controller and some 'other components', these 3 functions can do alot. As of now I have not thought of a safe way to be able to use CC functions and new functions... but there probably is a solution for this too (but I do not know if this is necessary). I will not give any details. Most people that are familiar with our car's electronics know the possibilities. Would you be interested in controlling 'stuff' with the CC lever? Just list your name. If you have any input, or what I have said has sparked a great idea, let me know. More than likely my electical engineer and myself have already thought of it (the list is long).... but I am open to hear more ideas. If I get good feedback, I might offer the community a little black box with maybe 5 wires to hook up @ the steering column... which open up your world when driving. What it controlls will be based on feedback.

Boulderguy
Homelink programmability, sunroof/window auto-close, amp remote defeat (IE turns amps off, currently tied to ACC+), audio source select tied to outboard input selector, uses single 12v+ constant to switch...more as I think of it. Boulderguy
Ooooh - - radar detector mute for hard-wired Escort. You could build the hard-wiring setup with simple phone cord, 12v+, gr, mute (crack open the retail unit for wiring schematic). I think the Homelink would be sellable, lots of raw units dirt-cheap on Ebay that I can't figure out how to wire (car didn't come with it). The source-selector is the PAC AS-21. zmarko
I like the ALL windows/sunroof auto up/down idea. Here's another "idea", although I'm not sure how feasible it would/could be (as I just got my LGT), and am unsure presently about boost control. But what about 2 preset boost settings? Like you can have one set at XX ammount for performance driving, and then another set at xx for regular driving and better fuel economy. I dunno, just a thought....not sure how that would work. CasopoliS
this will not control boost, there are other things for that. If I want fuel economy I just take it easier and get into boost less.
