eHoward
So I was cleaning out my trunk this afternoon because I spilled something back there saturday morning: http://howard.saturnet.net/drexel_party_shots/keg_in_north/keg_in_north-Images/4.jpg and noticed this: http://www.howard.saturnet.net/leggy/legacy_trunk_idea/legacy_trunk_idea-Images/0.jpg I think I could wedge an eight inch sub in there and it would look somewhat stock: http://www.howard.saturnet.net/leggy/legacy_trunk_idea/legacy_trunk_idea-Images/3.jpg it would stick out here: http://www.howard.saturnet.net/leggy/legacy_trunk_idea/legacy_trunk_idea-Images/2.jpg now,I own 3 ten inch subs(two boston pro series subs and an Xtant . . . 4 if I include the Type R that's in the carbon fiber box), but this has me thinking about going to an eight inch because I've been too lazy to make new custom boxes for the Bostons and this seems "easier." Anyone do any installs there yet?

Xantium
What are those hardlines at the top of the trunk for? Also i know the vdc (i think) has an oem sub in the trunk, that might be where it goes?
PGT
'hardlines' are the springs for your trunk. Search for the answer. The best solution seems to be a JL IB4 - it's meant for that very application. (It's out of production, but 'msmith' on this board is Manville Smith of JL - he says your local dealer can source one for you).

rao
The VDC is a wagon and the sub goes in the rear right side of the hatch area. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
eHoward
An open air sub like the IB4 would be pretty cool. Then, I wouldn't even have to build a box. eHoward
Does it have a box or is the McIntosh open air? That is where the McIntosh sub sits in the JDM B4.
al-gorithm
That is the trunk monkey secondary access point. The armrest pass through is the other access negating the confined space entry classification. Subaru thinks of everything.
