DamienC
I was investigating my air con/radio unit today and when i removed the gear stick cover and ash tray, i noticed a small switch on the right. I couldnt see where it led to after much effort! But i've no idea what it does if I switch it off. Anyone else know what it could be? I tried and considered the following: Alarm Bypass, Ignition bypass, Boost controller switch, ABS off swtich, Hidden lights.... Pics to follow soon! I Donated thefultonhow Posted January 9, 2013 I Donated Share Posted January 9, 2013 Do scoobys have a Trunk opening inhibit switch? (or is that a joke?) No, but they do have a keylock on the trunk release, which is down by your left foot. My guess is a previous owner of your car put that switch in. HAMMER DOWN
See if the wires goes to the place that the green connectors are. The ones you put together to Flash new maps to the ECU. I did that to mine, make it easier to flash maps. Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
DamienC
if they do go there, why the on/off switch?
I Donated Too sigmafour Posted January 14, 2013 I Donated Too Share Posted January 14, 2013 Toggle the ability to write to the ecu but that still looks like a valet switch... Very after market and definitely not stock
HAMMER DOWN
So you can flick a switch to flash & then drive after you loaded a new map. Instead of crawling under the dash & pulling the green connectors out from under the carpet in the foot well. To connect & unconnect the green connectors. Green connectors are only together when flashing you ECU. Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
