Well I was trying really hard not to sell my Perrin once these came out, but by the look of that core, I'm fighting a loosing battle.

I'm really looking forward to seeing those end tanks and the whole unit welded together.

Mmmm that's heat exchanger porn for us process engineers!

Matt, possibly a bit too early to tell but do you know of any Australian/New Zealand retailers that will be stocking the intercooler?

Ahh, now I'm depressed I had to pick up the PW, looks tiny sitting next to the GS core. Had to get something in the mean time to finish up my tune, but in the back of my mind I knew I'd be throwing away the transaction cost of switching to the GS a couple months later. And now I'm certain that will happen, oh well. This addiction ain't cheap. :spin:

Looking good Matt!

wow, very nice....Thanks again for providing such a great and well thought out unit to the community. Its very nice to see company's still putting so much R&D into a product when its very obvious they could cut corners and get them out to market to gain more market share instead....Quality over all is something that's lost among many vendors these days.

Why must you taunt me, Grimmspeed? I had no interest in replacing my TMIC, but I followed this thread just to watch the development and see what the final product looks like. After seeing that core and the production, I'm tempted to replace mine.

Thank you all for being so supporting and understanding. When we're getting pressure from a lot of people to get this thing banged out, it's great to see so many of you willing to wait a bit longer than expected for the best possible product.

We went old school to build a prototype with one of the pre-production cores today. I'll just leave these here.

2 questions, I see in the pic there is a plug for a hole, is that a port for a temp sensor by chance for those of us running SD and aftermarket intake temp sensors? If not, is it possibly an option?

Also, looks like the BOV does not really fit with the stock return hose, will that be fixed or what's the solution for that?

From memory it can be used for a few different things, temp sensors, meth/water injection etc.

Yes, we tapped both end tanks so that we can use pressure traducers and temperature probes to log those values during testing. We've talked about tapping holes for IAT sensors, water meth nozzles, etc, but it's most likely that we'll provide a recommended location for you to drill and tap it yourself, since people need a variety of different thread types. It's not out of the question just yet though, so I'll bring it back up with the team to see if anybody has fresh solutions.

And yes, we definitely have a solution to get the stock BPV hose to fit the altered location of the BPV itself. It's most likely that we'll add a simple, subtle extension instead of replacing the entire hose to ease the installation. The stock hose is plenty good for the purpose that it serves, so we'll just help you re-use that. It'll look sharp, don't worry.
