If anyone has one for sale or has any info please post thanks guys
joeblow
I got the Yakima Freshsesh 4 board/6 ski rack and locks from http://www.rockcreek.com for like $150 with a 10% off code. Most I've had is 3 boards on it so far, but no issues on a 3 hour trip. Mine's not for sale, but so far its done the job and I would recommend it to someone looking for a rack but not wanting to break the bank. Here's a pic of it attached to my Yakima roof rack. http://i939.photobucket.com/albums/ad236/flat4LGT/Leggy/DSC01010.jpg It's cool; I'm with the band

HCF
Such a clean car. Why would you detract attention from it with those wheels?

joeblow
Haha. They're my winter wheels. Its something a number of the local subaru guys do with their winters. I broke the bank when I picked up some Works from Ravspec for my summer set-up. Its just rattle canned, so I can switch it up next year if I want. Not trying to derail the thread with pics, so here's the link to my the photo thread with my summer wheels http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/new-shoes-and-rubber-140117.html It's cool; I'm with the band
hodgeman
I have Thule mounts, cross bars, and fairing. I use a Yakima FatCat 6 ski/snowboard rack with it in he winter, and Thule bike racks in the summer. The Thule mounts fit great, and they're very quick and easy to install and remove. Not cheap, but cheaper than losing bikes or skis off the roof at 75mph!Bryce
stock05LGT
Any added wind noise with the way those mounts work on LGT's without the OEM roof rails?
Madjik_Man
I saw one on a third gen outback that, when not in use (ie with skis), would pivot on a hinge and line up parallel with the roof rails so it created less drag. I'm having a real hard time describing it, but it was a really cool set up.
hodgeman
Yes, there is definitely more wind noise, even with the faring installed. It makes a big difference to close the sunroof cover, then it's hardly noticeable. With the full ski rack installed, I lose about 1.5-2mpg. If anyone has one for sale or has any info please post thanks guys I've got some Yakima ski attachments I need to get rid of. You'd have to get the rack though. I think they're Powderhounds. Send me a PM if you're interested! http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c20/burnout8488/IMG-20110223-00252.jpg

Also if you have this set up or any setup, i highly recommend the fairing, for noise reduction/wind resistance. habitual derail-er

Also have a pair of the the Yakima SprocketRocket bike racks. Get the fairing, it really helps cut down on wind noise. The Thule is ok, but their fairing looks like dog poop, just my .02. Be careful where you park your car, some jackass tried to pry my entire rack set-up off my car with a screw driver, it left some nice scratches and dents on my roof. 09_Red_GT
^Sucks about the pry. I ended up getting the thule fairing, however, I got it in a larger size, so now it looks less like dog poop, and more like a giant turd. off topic. Fossil, did you get a stromung quad tip from the GB, want to hear/see it, if installed. habitual derail-er

I'm usually between Brighton, Woburn and Waltham. PM me, I'd be more than happy to play you some music.
