WRX suspension?!

OK so im going to pick up a set of 02 wrx wagon struts and springs. Oem of course. but waswondering will it give it a lower stance? or will it remain the same? i am planning on buying springs at a later time to lower it even more. but as of right now just curious.

Your car will be maybe an inch lower, WRX's are a little lighter. You should notice better handling too the wrx sptings are a little more progressive than our strait springs

one last thing is do i use the top hats from the wrx or the legacy?

the fronts will work just fine but you need to use the legacy rear tophats

finished work but the wrx wagon top hats seems to fit perfectly fine and bolts right up!

ok. its around 2.3 or 2.4 inches lower. sits nice. the front could be lower. ill post pics of before and after with the whole car tomorrow.

Measure, find out the difference. buy whatever one will work.

most people use the 3/8"

thats what i ordered, because i don't have everything here yet and 1/8" too high or low is no biggie.

Why did you use parts from a wagon? Is that just what was available? Would wrx sedan parts work? Just wondering. I have front and rear kyb gr-2 struts, mounts, and springs from an 03 wrx sedan in my garage. Someone gave them to me and said they would work. I never Tried to use them cause I don't know for sure if they will fit.

they will fit, you may need a spacer to bring the rear up a touch though.

I am curious as to how the spacers go on? do I need to take the strut out?

I used wagon suspension because thats what my friend had laying around and gave to me for free. Also i own a wagon and thought it would eliminate the "booty sag". I believe that sedan suspension will work too. somewhere in this forum they have a listing of what fits. I think all 02-05 suspension bolts up. also as long as its a 5x100 bolt pattern or something along that line.

I believe the spacer goes between the top hat and the car. I will be ordering them this week.

Hmm, I just did the left front. Seems like it raised it up a 1/2 inch? Doing the other side in the morning. Why did it lift mine and lower yours?

dunno.... it drops alot more in the back than front. Maybe it'll even out when you put em all on. then once it settles*booty sag*

I got both fronts on know. It doesn't look lower at all. It's alot stiffer though.I like that. I'm gonna order some spacers before I do the rear. I'm scared of the booty sag. I got 2 10's in the trunk. I'm happy with the better handling so far.
