mis08011 Posted October 18, 2016 Share Posted October 18, 2016 Hi all, My car has become noisier over the past week, sounding more like an old John Deere than a recently rebuilt Subaru. I assumed it was an exhaust leak, but the noise doesn't seem isolated to one area and is noisy at idle. Max Capacity Posted October 18, 2016 Share Posted October 18, 2016 That sounds pretty normal, injectors firing, is the ticking sound. The rumble sounds like nice exhaust. You'll need to get under the car when its up on jack stands and start the engine. That's how's I found my leak over the weekend 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
