Mike, how much do you guys charge for a whiteline RCA bushings install?

Is that for the rear arms or the rear (hockey puck) bushing on the front lca?

We charge 180, 200 with the front inners. So for about 60 extra you get the front inners both parts and labor.

Ah ha. You should also get an alignment afterward as well so factor that in.

We built a special tool to push in/out the front inners, makes it go smoothly.

  • 4 weeks later...
Just had my Epic/Koni's installed in the front. New tophats, new lower control arms, new rotors and pads. Car feels great I am really liking the spring/strut combo. Doesn't soak up bumps quite as well as I'd hoped but I had my sights set pretty high. My only concern is the height. I was on H-tecs and now the car seems higher. From the pics on this thread I expected lower, basically where I was or lower. I have been driving for 4 days on this and it doesn't seem any lower. I can tell just by where my headlights plot that the height is higher. Did I miss something? I am worried now the back will sag, it actually sits about even with the back now, back is still stock.

Epics are only rated at 1" drop up front and 0.8" in the rear. H-Techs drop slightly more (while rated less up front and more in the rear). Going to take probably 2 weeks for everything to settle in completely.

Is everything installed correctly? Sorry, have to ask. I see at least 1 incorrectly installed suspension per week. Saw one on Konis today. Springs were heavily sagged (like gone, no longer springs) and the upper spring perch (front) was incorrectly installed on both sides. Best part is, a local Subie dealership did the install. Lol.

Make sure bolts on bottom are tight. Make sure "nubs" are below cut line on strut body. Make sure water drain holes on upper spring perch is pointing towards strut clevis (outside car). Make sure conical washers are installed (have seen them missing more than a few times), but this requires breaking them down. Make sure strut rod upper bolt is tight (in center of top hat).

Yup. We have seen this on more than one occassion a well. Especially the conical washers and the cuts.
