GrimmSpeed Master Brake Cylinder Brace - Review

**edit: mods, if you want to move this to the normal 4th gen forums since it's not really a technical issue, go ahead**

Well, seeing I live in Minnesota, I was lucky enough to be able to 'test-fit' the new GrimmSpeed Master Brake Cylinder Brace. First off, want to say 'thank you' to all the guys at GrimmSpeed for the opportunity!

So the brace itself--I don't have any pictures of it off the car, but the GrimmSpeed quality we are all used to is still evident with this product. It's black, well-built, and makes me smile. It replaces the fuel line brace on your strut tower. When it's installed on the car you can barely see it. Here's a pic looking towards my firewall (you can't see it):

And a few more where you can actually see the brace. :)

Initial impression:

First got in my car, stepped on my brake pedal, and you can already feel a different. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SQUISH?! Oh, almost all gone, yay!

As far as braking is concerned--I'm not going to mess with trying to 'guess' a percentage from the foot meter, but I have an analogy that I can provide. Imagine your stock brake setup is a 20 year old extra plush mattress you are stepping on. Install the MBC brace, it's like you're stepping on a brand new extra firm mattress. :spin: Total party time just from that.

Hard braking--a lot firmer pedal feel. There is still a little parachuting as you get down to the bottom of the brake pedal travel, but damn it feels a hell of a lot better! I don't feel like I'm trying to mash a never-ending barrel of grapes with my foot!

Overall, this is a sick upgrade and ecstatic that it made me happy to push my brake pedal again. It is a night and day difference between stock and this.

I don't have any release details at all--coming soon is all I know. Hope you guys are ready to get some pedal feel back ;)

I didn't install it myself, GrimmSpeed did for their test fit. Took them less than an hour. It doesn't look like it's too difficult. They had to undo some of my frontmount piping and the fuel lines were disco'd so the fuel line bracket can be replaced. I'm sure that GrimmSpeed will make an install video like they always do. Well worth however long it takes you to install it tho
