New 17x9 17x10 wheels in 5x100 6UL

If theres any miata guys here, they probably know about 6ULS, 949racing makes one of the nicest fattest wheels for miatas. They are finally going to have a 5x100 17x9 and 17x10. They are light in 15", so it should be a light wheel in 17" also, 3 colors to choose and 2 valves=0 o2.

I am more miata involved and can't remember offsets for the legacy(lazy to search). +52, +72, are the 2 options.

Not associated but loved my 15x9 for my miata.

Accordin to Xeonik FAQ:

6.5" (+34mm to +60mm offset, +55) *for 2.5i only

7.0" (+37mm to +57mm offset, +55)

7.5" (+40mm to +54mm offset, +55)

8.0" (+43mm to +51mm offset, +53)

8.5" (+45mm to +48mm offset, +45) *will need to roll the fenders if tires are wider than 255

9.0" (+43mm to +45mm offset, +43) *will need to roll the fenders if tires are wider than 255

9.5" (+38mm to +40mm offset, +38) *will need to roll the fenders if tires are wider than 255

17x9 +48 may work with coilovers but doesnt look like they will work with stock struts/springs....

most likely it'll rub on the stock spring perch if you use a wider tire to match those rim widths.. these rims would probably work if you stretched a 225 wide over them.. kinda defeats a purpose on say a race car.. but what race car that isnt running a stock class should still be on stock shocks and springs?

a 225 tire will work just fine on a 8" rim..

so unless someone plans on running the 9" wides with 255/40/17, they'll need a different suspension system to fit it.. a 245/35/17 is questionable to work with stock shocks/spring perch.

So then if you had a coilover set up, with fender rollling, etc, this may work?

Some coilovers are not as big as spring/strut combo and might give you a little more space.

You could add a 10mm spacer also. Too bad they don't make them on +35.

So with spacers you could run the 17x10 rolling fenders and coilovers right?? 275 should fit just fine.

Bump for PICS!

I was able to install my new tungsten 6ULR's tonight after work. I did order the graphite (black) but only the tungsten's (grey) came in 5x100. I'm real glad because I love how it looks :) The color is almost a dead match to the darker trim on my outback. In the bright direct sunlight there's a little more blue in emilio's wheel but I think that'll fade once brake dust gets on there.

I snapped some quick photos before the sun went down. I'll get some nice pics once I build my exhaust maybe. Pics!

I am posting 5 pictures below. If they don't show, hit REFRESH or F5 please.

I'm running some 'gently' used 245/45 RE01R's I got from a buddy. There's quite a few "there's no way this will fit, christ, emilio doesn't take returns on wheels, ahh crap, oh boy, well might as well mount a tire and try now" spots on both ends but surprisingly, so far, all I had to do was trim a small spot in the rear inner fender. I already had BC BR coilovers which, like most wideass wheels, are required which was the case here. Fun stuff!! :)

Yeah I'm tickled pink. Thanks to Emilio/949racing for a great wheel!
