Click noise from transmission normal?

Hi guys, my car makes a click sound just before comming to a complete stop, I believe it happens when the gear automatically goes into first. Also I noticed that when in sportshift mode it makes a click when i change up or down (It this normal). Anyone else have this click sound?

my gt only clicks when it's in Park and i step on the brake, never heard any noticeable click when shifting between gears, automatically or manually. if you are really concerned why not talk to the dealer?

I have a 2.5i auto and I can feel a click in my shfter as I come to a full stop. I don't hear a click though.

I also hear I light click only when I'm in the sportmode. Just sounds like a switch/relay in the tranny, doesn't sound mechanical.

The only click I hear is the shift interlock releasing right before I come to a full stop and engaging once I begin moving again. I don't hear any other noises when I'm using Sportshift.

This is what I must be hearing as well.

lately i have paid more attentions to the shifter and like you guys, i hear the click when coming to a stop.

The clicking you hear is likely from the solenoids cycling to transfer fluid to the front of the transmission when coming to a complete stop. Chrysler autmatics are notorious for making a whole cacophony of clicking sounds when stopping, it's pretty common anymore. I believe it's an attempt to extend transmission life.

phew. i've been hearing clicking too. Mainly when im in sportsmode and shifts b/w 1->2.

The owners manual says that there will be a click while transitting through approx 12 MPH from a stop and coming to a stop. the click is the reverse interlock, so that you can't slam reverse at 80 MPH!

never heard it, but do feel it on the sift lever.....

I have a 2.5i auto, and I noticed the clicking sound from day one. My mind can rest a little easier knowing that I'm not the only person experiencing this. Guess it's normal for the car.

I hear the clicking too and its dam annyoing. Everytime I come to a stop then go it clicks, its driving me crazy. IS there a fix or should it do this noise to begin with?

pick one: stinky clutch or the click.

mine is automatic trans so no stincking here
