Who has put on their snows?

Just curious as to when everyone is putting on their snow tires. It still seems to early as this past weekend was 65+ degrees out. I dont want to wear out the soft compound to much. Early dec or the first snow whichever comes first is what I was thinking. Any other feedback?

I put them on because it was warm out and I don't have to freeze my fingers off trying to put them on after the first snow.

 

When it is >40 degrees, I drive the wife's car since she is home sick because she is pregnant (morning sickness).

Mine go on when temps are consistently below 40 or there is snow in the forecast.

it was cold and there was snow in the forecast.... 4 weeks ago. Then it got warm, it was 60 yesterday

I put mine on when when temps started getting into the low 40s. Running dedicated summer tires on wet roads in the low 40s is just asking for trouble.

I gotta put mine on soon. i got a nail in my right rear tire causing a slow leak which i have to fill up once a week. Plus after a full season of autox, my tires are shot. I have yokohama advan neova ad07s on now and dunlop winter sport m3s for the winter.

Mine are on, the temps were in the low 40s and then it went back to the 50s and i did it, now whats up with the 65+ temps here? Mother Nature must be hittin the rock again BTW I am running Nokian WRs and they are good in dry and wet and don't wear too bad in warmer weather, but still great in the snow.

WRs are A/S with severe snow rating. Can be run year round.

my snows are going on tomorrow. i leave for work at 6:30 every morning and it's cold then (air and road surface temp).

Mine went on two days ago...12 inches of snow 100 miles SOUTH of us. Figured it's time.

I think I'm putting mine on this weekend. We'll see.

Mine are going on by Thanksgiving. Have you seen the C&D tires comparison of the F1 GS D3's, A/S, and dedicated snows (all from Goodyear)? F1 GS D3's are baby fur seals on snow and ice.

 

I may get a set of WR's instead of the RSI's because of the amount of driving I do. I'd like to compare them on the same car. We have them on our MPV now.

WRs are on the LGT and Dunlop Wintersport M3s are on the STI as of last week.

put them on a month ago, about a week after the huge storm hit Buffalo, NY but TOTALLY missed Rochester, where i am. and then it got up to like 65 two weeks after o.O

got viking snow techs last night. soooo mushy compared to the re070's and braking sucks now.

Did you guys go to tire rack and get a package deal with the steelie's? Would you guys recommend the steelie's on that site?

They were tested in the ADAC low-cost snow test: low cost with good winter performance, poor performance on dry roads and really bad wet braking, AIR.

Not until sometime in December...too warm right now. A weather forecast showing snow a few days out might change my mind.

^^ same here, only i havent put mine on yet, still in the mid 60's here so i am waiting until the temps drop. Snow in the forecast for friday, i'll just have to muster through on some beat down suckstones.
