harman.khinda Posted August 12, 2013 Share Posted August 12, 2013 Hi first post in a long time. Feels good to be back. I'm working on my sisters 2009 Legacy it's NA. The car has ~85K miles everything is stock and struts feel like they are worn out (taking dips feels the front tire comes up a into the wheel well and going over speed bumps the rear comes crashing down). I know I need to replace the sturts is there anything else I should look into replacing? I've done one suspension swap on a 05 LGT but I'm wondering if there are other components (bushings?, tophats?, mounts?) i might need to replace. Thanks a lot! idiot4hire Posted August 12, 2013 Share Posted August 12, 2013 whiteline front lower control arm bushings. Just the oem figment one since its your sisters car. Max Capacity Posted August 12, 2013 Share Posted August 12, 2013 I replaced all my top hat's at 165,000 miles but really didn't need to, in my 05. I think you should be fine re-using them. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
