GCGC
Hi all So i've decided to change the door-step light bulb to LEDs. Can someone who has done this before please help me out? The manual says 'Remove the lens by prying the edge of the lens with a flat-head screwdriver.' Well, that sounded easy, but i am seriously not having much luck. I don't want to apply too much pressure because i am worry that i might break something (again!) Any help or advice would be much appreciated. krot84
It's not much of a deal. Just use a little flat screw driver on the small latch you can see on the light cover. Don't worry you won't brake it.
GCGC
Thanks Krot84 Like you said, i used a small screw driver (the one used for repairing watches etc), and success! Looking at the 4 latches, i don't think that i would be doing this often. Now i run into another problem. I found that the light is consistently on when the door is open. I tried flicking the interior light off, but unfortunately that doesn't turn off the door light? So i have two options; 1. Replace the bulb when the door is close, or 2. Replace the bulb when the bulb is lit I am guessing option one is the best bet?
krot84
I don't know how option one is even possible.. I used option two, it's a matter of seconds after you remove the cover and replace the bulb. I used these lights for the doors - they're perfect http://www.ebay.com/itm/281152627719?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
