Exhaust purchase? Advise

Recommended Posts

hey I saw this for just about free today.

off a 97 BD

a straight 2.5" pipe with cat deletes

it has 2 O2 sensor bungs

the guy couldnt tell me if it threw CELs

i ask you, would this throw CELs?

i might purchase it just to see for 100$ why not

id also assume ill receive some better low rpm throttle response?

also, this is going to be louder then F?

and a solution to that would be a resonator?

k thanks

2.5" is waaaay too big for a 2.5 let alone a 2.2, and you'll be throwing codes for too much flow being catless..

MPGs will tank and you'll sound like a loud ass honda with the stock headers.. a resonator will only dull the whine a bit

thats a $60 new and it looks like about another $50 for the generic 2.5" piping so you arent really getting a good deal at all

in my opinion, pass.

its going to cause more trouble than its worth and saving another hundo to throw on top of what you'd pay for this...and you can end up with a 400% better system that actually works

wait, so does the 97 legacy gt sedan have unequal length headers stock?

apparently someone from on here, idk.

but reading that says i have a stock UEL ?

so, i can get the rumble with just a vibrant muffler/resonator??

no. stock headers are not UEL. you will get no rumble without UEL headers
