Mike_Hawk
I ordered a spec.B with the STi short shifter. Was that a good decision? At the minimum, I wanted something better than the stock setup.
TPLGT
I have the Cobb...The STI STS isprobably a lot more money. You could use the difference for Sways. Rehab is for quitters.

OMG that was a fast reply, haha! Does the STi STS replace more things than a Kartboy or Cobb, or do they replace the same things?
TPLGT
No the Cobb and Kartboy are just the shifter. The STI includes linkage and all...it's a lot more involved. The Cobb is great. It adjusts throw and shifter height... Rehab is for quitters.

TPLGT
I DK...I know the Cobb is worth the $$ and about 1/3 of the cost of the STI...for just the parts let alone the install price. Rehab is for quitters.
DrCloud
I have the STI SS on my LGT.B -- and I had one on my 05 STi as well -- and they do improve the shifting feel and precision. I think for maximum "shortness" and feel, you need both the SPT kit, with its linkages, and something like the Cobb SS, with its adjustable height -- and Cobb's bushings also seem like a very good idea. If you put it all together, it might just approach the quickness of what I was used to until April, the Honda S2000 setup. HPH
