mmarton
Looked at photos of the new Jeep Compass today. You should see the accommodations they made for direct iPod connection. http://autoblog.com/2006/01/09/2007-jeep-compass-official-specs-and-photos/
heybige
proclipusa.com The Legacy-specific mount isn't a perfect fit, but it works well. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10228&d=1127417365 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10229&d=1127417365
SC GT
I just ran my cord into the arm rest storage. I can either leave my ipod in the storage out of sight, or can run my cord to the cup holders if I want to leave it out. No mounts necessary. ilh
I just finished my jazzy aux-in with the Arkon CM160 vent mount for my iPod Video: http://www.csail.mit.edu/~ilh/pics/IMG_1398.jpg All in all, I am very pleased with the sound and the mount. I can push the next/previous buttons on the iPod with my thumb still on the steering wheel. I am actually glad to have that vent partially blocked as it often blows cool air right at my hand. I bought the CM160 mount online for less than $10 shipped, available black or white. Clearly I needed black. I also installed the ground loop isolator from Crutchfield that has 3.5mm plugs in case I decide to power my iPod in the future. --Lee
joeyjojoe
Though search was my friend, it means i'll be resurrecting a super old thread. Has anyone found an iPod/iPhone cradle that fits in the cubby? how about hanging down over the cd player?
BAC5.2
I'm making a custom mount. More details will be posted later, but it definitely won't be some ghetto thing hanging off of a vent. soloz2
I've got this one. On the expensive side but works well and looks great. http://www.tetrax.com/us/products/xway-line +1 I've been using an Arkon vent mount for my iPhone on the far left vent and it worked well when the mount would stay in the vent... but it wouldn't always stay there. I just picked up a Tetrax Xway and an Otterbox case for my iPhone and love this combo. The Xway doesn't hold the phone at the exact angle for best viewing like the Arkon mount did, but it actually stays on the vent and it doesn't take up extra space when my phone isn't mounted there. For my TomTom, I use the Panavise InDash custom mount. It's placement is similar to the Proclip, but it's metal and less expensive so... better! I'm thinking that once I get my stereo upgraded and have an aux in I'm going to get one of the cubby mount GPS mounts and use the Panavise for an iPod.
