galpdawg
looking to get winter tires for my rims. they are 18x7 2006 spec b rims. I am running 225 40 18 on my one set of rims. But for winter what is a good size. 215 40 18 or 215 45 18?
Learjet45
Might be worth looking at this: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/faq-offsets-sizes-rims-and-tires-gt-xenonk-version-4426.html Also, be aware that changing the tire size from stock will change the rolling diameter and thus your speedometer will be off by a certain percentage and your odometer will also be off. If this doesn't bother you, than well I really have nothing else helpful to add in terms of a good size. Just wanted to make sure you know. galpdawg
Yeah i was looking at that, but for some reason i thought the stock tire size for the 2006 spec b was 215 45 18. yeah i want to make sure i keep the rolling diameter as accurate as possible. Learjet45
Is your LGT a SpecB, or are you just rolling on specb wheels? I know my 2.5i is 205/50r17, which the closest rolling diameter in 18" is 225/40r18. I'm not sure on any of the stock tire sizes for the different trim levels, someone else will have to speak up on that part.
