stork Posted February 17, 2013 Share Posted February 17, 2013 Have a 2013 Legacy and need to change oil (3500miles). I bought OEM oil filters off Ebay from a dealer in Mich (6pack $39.99). The # on the filter currently on the car is 15208AA15A. They sent 15208AA160. They tell me Subaru has changed the filter and the 15A is no longer available and they now use the AA160. Anyone Know if this is true? I will be callin the dealer I bought it from, but they are closed today. I like using OEM filters but am using Pennzoil 0w-20. Bdubs Posted February 17, 2013 Share Posted February 17, 2013 They both work with the vehicle. The "A15A" filters had some issues late last year and had a recall. So, that dealer maybe had some of the replacement filters with that specific number which you have recieved leftover. As far as I know, the "A15A" have returned, so if you do recieve another filter with that number, don't worry. The filters are different lengths, but are the same specs within.
